Located in Gramercy Park in Manhattan, 301 First Avenue was built in 1969 and has 24 stories and 184 units. It was previously used for faculty housing for medical residents and doctors. The building is to be converted into student housing consisting of a 650-bed dormitory.
HLZAE was hired as a consultant to the Architectural firm conducting the façade work to perform the punch list for the new window installation. Our firm performed weekly site visits as the windows were installed and issued punch lists for each floor. The punch lists contained any items that required immediate attention, incorrect installations, as well as non-conforming work related to contract specifications.
