Senior Project Manager, Architecture

Biography

With over 19 years of experience in the field of Architecture, Leon is a Senior Project Manager on the Exterior Restoration division of HLZAE.  He works on maintenance/repair recommendations and programs, restoration designs on building facades, roofing, windows and architectural interiors and construction documents and contract administration in residential and commercial buildings.  Leon is experienced in project management, design, and business development.

Leon’s experience includes providing architectural design for the veterinary facilities in Southeast Texas and space planning and interior tenant build-out projects for corporate, commercial, and institutional clients in New Orleans, LA.  Here in NYC, Leon was the Architect of Record for the Green Roof Installation at the FIT campus on West 28th Street.  He also provided architectural design and construction administration services for historic restoration projects at Cobble Hill Towers in Brooklyn, NY, including the restoration of a bay window assembly and turret structure.   On Long Island, Leon worked on the Parking Garage repair and restoration projects at 900 and 990 Stewart Avenue over the course of their 2015 major capital modernization.

Leon earned both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Certificate in Preservation Studies (Historic Preservation) at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.  He is a Registered Architect in the State of New York and State of New Jersey, and Quality Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) in New York City.
