Harry Wesch

Associate Director, MEP Engineering

Biography

With more than 8 years of experience, Harry serves as Associate Director, MEP Engineering at HLZAE. He is responsible for conducting field investigations and surveys, generating investigative reports, proposals, as well as second opinion reports. His responsibilities also include designing several different Mechanical and plumbing systems and overseeing the construction of the projects.

Some of Harry’s projects include a domestic gas piping replacement at 5 East 22nd Street, a 423-unit building that had their gas service shut down by the local utility. This project involved careful and highly detailed coordination with the unit owners, contractors, the Department of Buildings, and Con Edison. The experience gained and success of this project was then implemented to several other gas piping replacement projects including 10 East 85th Street and 24-36 Laurel Hill Terrace.  Other types of mechanical projects include a chiller plant replacement at 400 East 77th Street, where a steam absorption chiller was replaced with a more energy efficient modular electric chiller. He also designed and oversaw the replacement of 70 East 10th Street’s heating plant, which includes two 400-hp boilers with integral domestic hot water heating coils, along with a new boiler feed unit and vacuum condensate receiver.

Harry earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology.
