In 1978, Howard L. Zimmerman, AIA, organized a professional team of architects, engineers and designers as well as technical, material, building systems specialists who are expert in facade restoration, interior and exterior rehabilitation, historic preservation and roof inspection and repair.

Today, Howard L. Zimmerman Architects, P.C. is a full-service architectural firm with experience serving residential, commercial and industrial properties in all aspects of exterior and interior building design, renovation and forensic investigation. As the firm's principal, Howard, is a registered architect with licenses in New York and New Jersey as well as National Certificate of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certification. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Architecture, Urban Landscape Architecture and as well as Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.

His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the Association of Building Owners, the Building Owners and Managers Association and the Construction Specifications Institute. In addition, Howard has served as an Adjunct Professor at the City College School of Architecture and the New School and he has served as a guest lecturer at New York University's Real Estate Institute.
