Project Overview

Built in 1910, 434 Broadway is a 9-story Pre-war building located in the SoHo Cast Iron Historic District. After performing a FISP inspection, it was determined that the building was unsafe. Once properly assessed, the cornice and fire escapes were repaired and structurally reinforced, and 278 terra cotta units were replaced. Additionally, HLZAE performed terra cotta and masonry repairs, which included marble lintel replacement, limestone repairs and brick masonry replacement/pointing. Upon completion of the repairs, the façade was cleaned.
