Project Overview

160 Willoughby Street is an 11-story educational building located downtown Brooklyn, in the Long Island University campus. The building was finished in 1971 and is a post-war building. Our work consisted of investigating all the façades as part of the 8th Cycle FISP investigation, and the repair of all the observed conditions. For this project, we needed to coordinate all the construction activity with the ongoing university classes taking place at the same time in various part of the building, and with the black-out dates dictated by the university, when no construction activity was allowed. At the conclusion of the restoration project, we also filed the 8th Cycle FISP Report with the DOB.
