With more than 20 years of electrical experience, Doug is a Senior Electrical Associate, MEP Engineering who oversees HLZAE’s electrical projects. These projects include electrical power distribution, fire alarm system designs, ARC System designs, and low voltage systems designs. His experience includes the design, project review and construction oversight of electrical, fire alarm and low voltage systems. He performs electrical investigations with respect to building electrical infrastructure, feasibility studies, electrical surveys, and compiles data for electrical systems upgrades and implementation.

Doug led the upgrade of the electrical systems at 2 Pierrepont Street, formally the New York Mayor’s Mansion, and 124 Columbia Heights, a 101-unit residential conversion within the Brooklyn Historic District. Doug has led Capital Improvements Project on the 400-unit residential structure Clifton Towers, in Hell’s Kitchen. He has also completed investigations at multiple building two examples are 1185 Park Avenue and 263 West End Avenue, to provide solutions for the building’s aging electrical infrastructure. Doug’s low voltage design expertise includes fire alarm, ARC Systems, security, telecommunications, access control, closed circuit television, and intrusion detection systems. Doug is also proficient in AutoCAD customization and fluent in multiple computer programming languages.

Doug attended Star Technical Institute in Stratford, New Jersey for Computer Aided Design and Drafting. He also majored in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Ocean County College in Toms River and Kean University in Union, both in New Jersey.
