Joe Mozdzanowski joins us as Project Associate. He is an architectural designer with a passion for things old and new.  He has worked on public schools throughout New York City where he had a hand in the improvement of many types of structures. Joe graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s in Architecture and has been designing a new private residence in Puerto Rico with a fellow alumnus.

Alex D’Amato joins us as Project Associate. Originally from South Carolina, his broad resume includes attending the Culinary Institute of America, working for Disney, becoming a wine director, and later becoming a Carpenter (just to name a few).  He eventually decided to pursue Architecture and attended NYIT. He feels this has given him the chance to stay active/dynamic and have an impact with his work while still building a future.

Christos Mavroudis joins us as Senior Project Manager. He has ten+ years of experience in building envelope restoration and FISP related projects, from investigation to construction administration. Christos studied Architecture at New York Institute of Technology’s Manhattan campus. He is a SPRAT certified, Level 1 rope access technician and an ICC certified Masonry Special Inspector.

Alexander Martin joins us as Project Manager in our MEP Department. He attended North Carolina State University and worked for a mid-sized MEP firm, which specialized in renovations for federal buildings up and down the east coast.  His wife’s work brought them to NYC, and they just moved into the Prospect Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn.

Lynne Funk joins us as Project Manager on our Forensics team. She is a licensed architect who directs restoration, renovation, and repair projects for a variety of building types in the New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania region. Lynne has worked with companies of various sizes, including her own firm, LFA Architects.

Daniel Boyle joins us as Project Associate. Danny attended the University at Buffalo to study Architecture. After graduating, he worked for a landscape architect in Westchester, helping design private estates and housing developments. Danny eventually moved to New York City and joined Superstructures where he worked for six years restoring apartments, schools, and hospitals. He values maintaining the historical integrity of the architecture in NYC.

Dylan Vanhorn joins us as Project Associate in our MEP Department. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2018 and spent the last five years in the construction industry. As a Mechanical Engineer, Dylan is looking forward to progressing as a professional, meeting new people, and making a difference at HLZAE.
