Alexei Tajzler, RA

With HLZA for more than ten years, Alexei leads a team of project managers and associates from project inception to close-out, reviewing construction documentation, and suggesting alternative solutions when hidden conditions are discovered. He is adept at project planning and utilizes his team’s strengths to fulfill project requirements. Alexei also services as a member of HLZA’s Quality Control Committee which ensures consistency in the quality of deliverables.

Alexei was responsible for 6 Harrison Street, an award-winning landmarked building completed in 1884, which required a full façade restoration and replacement of the slate roof tiles and copper elements. For 595 West End Avenue, a 16-story residential building, he restored terra cotta Juliet balconies, roofing membrane, parapets, and architectural details throughout the building. Alexei also led renovations at 75 Broad Street, a 36-story commercial building with numerous setbacks for which HLZA performed structural steel repairs, parapet rehabilitation, and masonry replacement.

Alexei earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and is a Registered Architect in the State of New York.
