Alexei Tajzler, RA

With HLZA for more than ten years, Alexei leads a team of managers and associates from project inception to close-out, reviewing construction documentation and suggesting alternative solutions when hidden conditions are discovered. He is adept at project planning, utilizing his team’s strengths to fulfill project requirements. Alexei is also a member of HLZA’s Quality Control Committee.

One of Alexei’s projects is 6 Harrison Street, an award-winning landmarked building completed in 1884 that required a full façade restoration and replacement of slate roof tiles and copper elements. For 595 West End Avenue, a 16-story residential building, he restored terra cotta Juliette balconies, roofing membrane, parapets, and architectural details. Alexei also led renovations at 75 Broad Street, a 36-story building with numerous setbacks for which we performed structural steel repairs, parapet rehabilitation, and masonry replacement.

Alexei earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Washington University in St. Louis and is a registered Architect in New York State.
