Edward W. Pon, AIA
Director, Healthcare Projects

With more than 30 years of experience, Ed Pon serves as Director of Healthcare Projects. He is a senior Technical Advisor in the firm and manages significant projects for institutional clients and large housing complexes, seeing them through from inception to completion. He contributes to the creation of internal policies, procedures, and office standards, and develops educational programs and mentoring opportunities for HLZA office staff.

Ed has been involved in HLZA’s healthcare projects for New York Presbyterian, including Payson House and the Helmsley Tower façade and curtain wall restoration. He directed work at Montefiore Hospital’s garage restoration and developed a vegetative green roof for NYU Langone Medical Center’s Alumni Hall. Historically significant projects Ed has worked on include the award-winning Riverside Church, Temple Emanu-El, Chatham Towers, The Archive Building, and 666 Greenwich Street.

Ed earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Syracuse University. He is a Registered Architect in New York and a Member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). Ed is also a Member of the Harrison Architectural Review Board.
