Edward W. Pon, AIA
Director, Healthcare Projects

With more than 35 years of experience, Ed serves as Director of Healthcare Projects at HLZA. He is a senior Technical Advisor for the firm and manages significant projects for institutional clients and large housing complexes, seeing them through from inception to completion. Internally, he contributes to the creation of internal policies, procedures, and office standards, and develops educational programs and mentoring opportunities for HLZA office staff.

Ed has been involved in HLZA’s healthcare projects for New York Presbyterian, including Payson House and the Helmsley Tower façade and curtain wall restoration. He directed work at Montefiore Hospital’s garage restoration and developed a vegetative green roof for NYU Langone Medical Center’s Alumni Hall. Historically significant projects Ed has worked on include the award-winning Riverside Church, Temple Emanu-El, The Archive Building, and 666 Greenwich Street.

Ed earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, in Syracuse, New York. He is a Registered Architect in the State of New York and a Member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). Ed is also a Member of the Architectural Review Board in Harrison, New York.
