Tadhg Ó Fátharta

Tadhg has more than 10 years of architectural and engineering experience in building restoration in New York City. He currently serves as a Director in the MEP/FP group at HLZA and leads a team in the investigation, design, and installation of major system upgrades in residential and commercial buildings. Tadhg also has vast experience in forensic investigation and building condition assessment, reviewing building systems for code compliance, efficacy, functionality and installation defects. He develops a plan of action for the client to address issues in a prioritized manner within the capital improvement budget.

Tadhg has worked on custom built steel cogeneration plants. He was also instrumental in the approval and installation of gas risers to the exterior of a residential building, not often seen in Manhattan, allowing gas service to be restored to units with little to no impact to adjacent properties. He’s also designed electrical system upgrades that were submitted and successfully underwritten by the client’s insurance carrier based on HLZA’s design.

Tadhg earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
