Joseph R. Green, PE, PMP

With more than 15 years of experience in ground up construction, large-scale renovation projects, and capital improvements, Joe serves as Director in the MEP/FP group at HLZA. His project management approach is informed by his government project experience, for which he managed high value, complex projects for the Department of State and the United States intelligence community. Joe is experienced in improving project management, design, and commissioning processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.

At HLZA, Joe managed the mechanical equipment upgrade project 100 United Nations Plaza, where he replaced a cooling tower embedded in a pyramid-shaped structure at the height of the building. Joe’s team disassembled the existing cooling tower piece by piece and installed a new one in the same way. Joe also oversaw flood damage repair at One West End Avenue and supervised a cogeneration installation at 3400 Independence in the Bronx.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. He has also received Security Engineering, Police, and Secret Service Training from select government centers. Joe is a member of ASIS, ASME, ASPE and ASHRAE.
