John Favazzo, RA, LEED AP®
Senior Project Manager

With more than 30 years of experience, John specializes in architectural preservation, historical building analysis, and code review. John has specific expertise in detailing historic restoration projects and integrating modern materials with the historic fabric.

John worked on the façade restoration of 88 Greenwich Street, a 38-story Art Deco building clad in brick and terra cotta, which is exposed to the extreme weather of the New York Harbor since 1929. The project required complex masonry and waterproofing solutions to achieve a seamless repair of the masonry and underlying steel structure. John also led the façade restoration of 6 East 16th Street and 15-17 East 16th Street, two 12-story terra cotta and brick buildings. Constructed in the Romanesque Revival and Neo-Renaissance styles respectively, they exemplify turn-of-the-century commercial building design in the Ladies' Mile Historic District.

John holds a Master of Architecture with a Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Rochester, in Rochester, New York. He is a Commissioner on the Historic Preservation Commission in the City of Plainfield, New Jersey.
