With over twenty years of architectural experience, Ed Pon serves as a Senior Architect at Howard L. Zimmerman Architects, P.C. In this capacity, he oversees the documentation, scheduling and general monitoring of all projects. His range of experience both in the field and in the office includes the master plan development of 100 housing units; the new construction of a 50,000 sq. ft. multi-use health care facility for the United Presbyterian Home in Syosset, NY; a $12 million exterior facade and lobby renovation of an office building at 67 Wall Street, and the exterior renovations of more than twenty residential high-rise buildings throughout the New York Metropolitan area.
Since joining Howard L. Zimmerman, Architects, P.C., Ed has been involved with a $10 million dollar renovation of the 27 story Turtle Bay Towers in Manhattan. The complex restoration project involved the exterior façade restoration and replacement of aluminum and glass "greenhouse" enclosures over a wedding cake building profile.
Ed has also been Project Manager for numerous exterior renovation projects for a client who is a prominent Owner Developer. This included approximately a dozen high-rise residential buildings throughout Manhattan. Other prominent projects that Ed has stewarded include Cadman Towers, Brooklyn, New York, the Promenade Apartments, Bronx, New York. He earned a Bachelors degree in Architecture from Syracuse University and he is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Construction Specifications Institute and the Architecture Review Board of Harrison, New York.
