Project Overview:

Falling under the LPC jurisdiction as part of “Tribeca East Historic District," 40 Lispenard was erected in 1867. The building’s main façade suffered from negligence and a lack of proper maintenance and restoration for 60 years. The main façade underwent full restoration of its sandstone elements. The missing sheet-metal cornice elements were replaced with matching fiberglass and the deteriorated sheet-metal water table was also replaced with matching fiberglass. Additionally, all façades windows were upgraded to energy-efficient wood windows by Artistic Windows & Doors. Lastly, a new storefront was installed.

HLZA supervised all aspects of restoration and repairs working closely with the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
